Primer Pie Union Items
Primer Pie [English, First Foot] is Uruguayan artist Marianne Pauls’ initial step into the NFT space. The collection is half pre-existing physical works with Ethereum provenance. The balance, six new collaborative Right of First Refusal NFTs (rofrNFTs). The rofrNFTs parallel Marianne’s transition. She challenges the beholder to invest up to 0.1 hours in Nowness. Five senses dance with Marianne’s Union Items in temporal defiance.
Union Items epitomize ethereal distinction. Auditory connection bolsters the physical works’ visual elements. Enter Marianne’s studio on a workday. Incense lingers. Union Incense’s unique blend, burned on April 7th at the rofrNFTs’ three recording locations (See ingredients infra) fills your space.
Marianne’s studio and the rofrNFT share an another olfactory bond. Marriane Pauls’ art has a taste, yerba mate. The beverage consumed in all Rio de La Plata nations is a constant when Marianne paints. Union Yerba Mate imparts aroma, warmth in your hands and alimentary viscera. The filtered metal Union Bombilla straw produces a distinct resonance.
Art collectors who prize distinctness are rewarded with unified sensory connection and tangible artefact scarcity. Union Items can only be acquired by purchasing a NFT paired physical piece by private sale. A Union NFT will not be minted unless the rofrNFT collector exercises their Right of First Refusal. Likewise neither will Union Incense, Union Yerba Mate nor a Union Bombilla accompany a physical work purchased by public sale. Consuming Union Incense and Yerba Mate increases the remaining Union Items’ secondary market value (ie, unopened Incense bottles with Marianne’s wax fingerprint intact).
A rofrNFT collector who exercises their Right of First Refusal shall receive the following:
One (“1”) Union Bombilla metal straw used to drink yerba mate.
Three (“3”) small bottles of Union Incense (beeswax sealed, Marianne Pauls fingerprinted) containing: amber, azomite, cacao, cat’s claw (herb), cedar, cinnamon, clove, copal, dammar, dragon’s blood, eucalyptus, frankincense, mirth, nutmeg, rosewood, rhodochrosite, rosemary, saffron, sandalwood, seashell, spicebush, star anise, and storax.
One hundred (“100”) grams of Union Yerba Mate.

Creí tanto en Dios, que me olvidé de mí
Creí tanto en mi, que Dios volvió a mí. Sabía que el camino que iba a recorrer iba a ser duro, pero en algún momento, en esos verdes, llenos de aventura, los campitos llenos de colores, dónde el reir era lo más importante del encuentro! Seeee también molestaba el sol, las ganas de ir al baño, pero era el ver el sentir, el oler.
Sentía la necesidad de transmitir esas sensaciones, para que se activen los 5 sentidos, cosa que puede transmitir el aroma de un mate, en mis manos, el del incienso que me transporta a lo más antiguo , los aromas transmiten la realidad de ese momento en dónde estas obras fueron creadas, así ayudando siempre como mejor se hacerlo, pintando!
I believed so much in God that, I forgot about me.
I believed so much in myself that, God returned to me. I knew the path to be trod would be tough, but at some point, in those nascent stages, full of adventure, the meadows full of colors, where laughing was the most important part of the match! I knooow too the sun’s irritation, the need to use the bathroom, but there was the sight the feeling, the smell.
I felt the need to transmit these sensations, to activate the five senses. It’s something to transmit the yerba mate’s aroma, in my hands. The [undefined] of the incense that transports me to the most ancient. The aromas convey the reality of this moment in where these works were created. Like that always helping to do it the best way, painting!
